HARTFORD, September 20 — Alexia Neeley and Chelsea Mitchell each had two goals as the Canton High girls soccer team improved to 2-0-1 on the season with a 6-0 victory over Hartford Classical Magnet in North Central Connecticut Conference action on Friday at Quirk Middle School.
Neeley had two goals and an assist while Emma Gallant had a goal and assist. Julie Langou also scored for Canton. Allison Celmer and Paris Delbone each had two assists for the Warriors, who led 4-0 at halftime.
Sophia Blais made one save in net to earn the shutout for Canton.
Earlier in the week, the Warriors battled to a 3-3 tie with Stafford. Mitchell had two goals while Ashelyn Celbellero had a goal for Canton. Goalie Julia Lau made 17 saves for the Warriors.
