BURLINGTON, Sept. 14, 2022 – Zack Barth beat teammate David Iacino by two seconds as the Lewis Mills boys cross country team beat Farmington in the season-opening meet for both squads on Wednesday at Johnnycake Mountain Park, 15-47. The first five runners across the line were from Lewis Mills, led by Barth, who won the race in 19:36. Thatcher Gorman finished sixth to lead the River Hawks.
In the girls race, Farmington’s Anne Weygan won by more than a minute and a half as the River Hawks beat Mills, 15-50. Farmington (1-0) had four of the top five runners in the race. Weygan won with a winning time of 22:36.
