AVON, Dec. 17, 2022 — Sophie Mango scored a game-high 14 points while Adi Standish added 12 points as the Avon High girls basketball team won their third straight game on Saturday with a 46-26 win over Cheshire in non-league action.
The Falcons led by six points at halftime before they allowed just seven points in the second half to pull away and secure the victory. Lia Bosanac had a pair of three-point goals for Avon. Mimi Perlini led Cheshire with eight points.
Avon returns to action on Tuesday night when they travel to New Britain to take on the Hurricanes at 6:45 p.m.
