Berlin stops Lewis Mills’ winning streak at four games

BERLIN, January 27, 2023 – River Eberhardt sank a pair of free throws with 30 seconds left in regulation to lift the Berlin High boys basketball team to a 52-50 win over Lewis Mills Friday night in CCC South action.

A three-point shot that could have won the game from Lewis Mills’ Connor McAtee went halfway down before spinning around and off the rim as the final buzzer sounded. McAtee finished with a game-high 19 points.

With the win, Berlin (4-8, 1-2 CCC South) snapped Lewis Mills’ four-game winning streak. Eberhardt led the host Redcoats with 15 points with Zack Skinner adding 14.

Lewis Mills (10-3, 1-2 CCC South) trailed by eight points at halftime and eventually rallied to take the lead only to see Berlin reclaim it.
