
Lewis Mills’ Jon Schibi had a game-high 28 points to lead the Spartans to their fifth straight win on Tuesday night.
BURLINGTON, Jan. 10, 2023 – Jon Schibi had five 3-point goals and scored a game-high 28 points as the Lewis Mills boys basketball team beat Hartford Public, 59-34 Tuesday night in Central Connecticut Conference play.
The Spartans (6-1) outscored the Owls, 20-0 in the fourth quarter to pull away. Jack Stanislaw had eight points and pulled down nine rebounds while Charlie Joiner had six assists and four steals.
Mills, who have won five straight games, return to action on Thursday when they travel to Middletown for a CCC South contest.

AVON, January 10, 2023 – Adi Standish had a career-high 20 points as the Avon High girls basketball team won their sixth game of the season with a dominating 64-38 win over Hall in CCC West action on Tuesday in the old gym.
Sophie Mango added 12 points while Lia Bosanac scored 11 points for the Falcons, who improve to 6-3 on the season. Avon is two wins shy of earning a CIAC tournament berth for the first time since 2020.
