Avon High earn All-State honors for their play this spring

Ten Avon High athletes, including four from the state champion boys tennis team, earned first team All-State honors for their play on the athletic field this spring.

Liam Hovorka, Ryan Hovorka, Ravi Corrie and Amaan Baweja earned All-State honors for the undefeated boys tennis team that won their third straight Class M championship.

Two players from the boys lacrosse and girls lacrosse teams earned first team All-State honors along with athletes from the baseball and girls tennis programs.

The Falcons won two CCC divisional titles this spring with the boys tennis team winning the CCC West title and the baseball team sharing the CCC West title with Southington.
