FARMINGTON, Nov. 11 – The Farmington High football team got back on the winning track with a dominant 50-6 win over Bulkeley High Friday night. The Indians (7-1) allowed the Bulldogs just 51 yards of total offense, recorded five sacks and created four turnovers, including a 70-yard interception return for a touchdown by Kenny Jones. Teammate Devin Jones returned a blocked punt for a touchdown and Adam Buono recorded a safety. Buono also ran for 90 yards and a TD on 14 carries while QB Brian Logan completed 9-of-23 passes for 119 yards and 2 TDs.
SIMSBURY, Nov. 11 – Christian Martinez scored 2 TDs and ran for 116 yards on 22 carries to lead the Simsbury High football team to its third win of the season with a 40-0 win over East Hartford. Eric Glynn picked off two East Hartford passes and recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Andrew Girard scored a pair touchdowns for Simsbury, now 3-5. Simsbury makes up a game with Southington on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at Southington at 5 p.m., before closing the season on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Glastonbury with a 6 p.m. contest.
