AMENIA, N.Y., June 26 – Two Amenia pitchers combined to strike out 13 batters and allow just one hit as the host Monarchs shutout the Canton Crushers, 18-0 in Tri-State League play Thursday night at Doc Bartlett Field. Amenia starter Tom Moore struck out nine in five innings while reliver Zach Spencer struck out four. Steve Hutchinson, Dylan Sartori and Matt Hosier led Amenia (3-5) with two hits each. Canton is now 0-11. The Crushers hit the field Sunday at Holy Cross in Waterbury when they take on Tribury (3-6) at 1 p.m.
