WATERBURY, June 29 – Pitcher Ben Guisto allowed just two hits and struck out nine as the Tribury Twisters blanked the Canton Crushers, 7-0 in a Tri-State League game Sunday at Holy Cross High. Guisto went the distance to earn the win.
Tribury (4-6) was led by Phil Wilhemy and Ben Brown with three hits each. Brown had a triple, two singles and two RBI while Wilhemy had a double, two singles and two runs scored. Steve MacLean added a double, single and two RBI. Mike Ippolito had three RBI for the Twisters.
Canton slips to 0-12 and hosts Lakeville on Tuesday night at Bowdoin Field at 5:30 p.m.
