On Friday, Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra changed his proposal to lure the New Britain Rock Cats minor league baseball team in the capital city. Segarra withdrew a proposal to the Hartford City Council that the city build a $60 million stadium for the Double AA team and called for the stadium to be financed through a public-private partnership, including some private money. Last month, Segarra and the Rock Cats announced that the team would move to Hartford in April 2016 and that taxpayers would build a stadium in the city. More on this story from CT News Junkie.
