Canton spikers top Enfield for second win of the year

CANTON, Sept. 25 – Maddie Brown had a pair of aces to help the Canton High girls volleyball team earn their second win of the season with a 3-0 win over Enfield Friday night. The Warriors (2-3) swept Enfield for the first time, 25-7, 26-24, 25-23 thanks to a pair of hard-fought victories in game two and three.

It was the second game in two nights for the Warriors. Canton dropped a 3-1 decision to Ellington on Thursday night, 25-13, 25-17, 10-25, 25-12. Sophia Penehach had five kills and a block for Canton in the loss.

Canton returns to the court Tuesday afternoon when they host defending Class M champion Granby at 5:30 p.m.
