Canton spikers can’t make enough plays to earn a victory

CANTON, Oct. 2 – The Canton High girls volleyball team was able to make some plays on Friday night against Hartford’s Sport Medicine Science Academy – just not enough to secure some victories. The visiting Tigers (6-3, 5-3 NCCC) won for the fourth time in their last six matches with a 3-0 win over the Warriors, 25-20, 25-22, 25-20.

Amber Harraden had seven kills for Canton (2-5, 2-5) while Sophia Pelehach had five kills and two blocks. The Warriors hit the floor again Tuesday when they host Suffield (4-4) for a 5:30 p.m. start.
