COVENTRY, Oct. 20 – After winning three of four matches including a 3-0 sweep of Hartford Classical on Friday, the Canton High girls volleyball ran into a dominant Coventry High squad Tuesday afternoon.
The Patriots dominated in a 3-0 win over the Warriors, winning 25-13, 25-8 and 25-5. Amber Harridan had three kills for Canton, which slips to 5-7 overall and 4-7 in the league. Coventry improves to 14-1 and remains undefeated in the NCCC at 12-0.
Canton will begin a four-game homestand on Thursday night when they host Ellington at 5:30 p.m., followed by a match against Bloomfield’s Metropolitan Learning Center on Friday night at 5 p.m. On the following Monday, the Warriors will host Enfield and will close out the homestand with a home match against the Medical Professions and Teacher Preparation Academy (Med-Ed Prep) from New Britain.
