Avon’s Laszewski scores 16 points in JCC Schoolgirl Classic

BRIDGEPORT, April 10 – Avon High’s Abby Laszewski scored 16 points to lead the Connecticut East All-Star team to a 84-65 victory over Connecticut West in the recent 55th annual JCC Schoolboy/Schoolgirl Classic. Desiree Elmore of Capital Prep led all scorers with 19 points for Connecticut East. The game is the longest running basketball invitational game of its kind in the country. Laszewski will be attending Wisconsin in the fall.
