CANTON, April 10 – A year ago, the Canton High boys lacrosse team went 7-9 to earn a spot in the CIAC Class S tournament for the first time in school history.
This season, a young Canton team is looking to build upon that experience. The Warriors are 1-2 after three games.
Canton (1-2, 0-2 NCCC) captured their season opener with a 8-1 win over the co-op team from Rockville and Stafford before the Warriors dropped a 20-0 decision to defending Class S champion Somers and a 13-5 loss to Ellington Monday.
“We’re hoping to build on the success we had last year while gaining as much as experience as possible for our very young team,” Canton coach Chris Weller season. “I am very pleased with the start of the season. We have dedicated hard-working players on and off the field.”
