VERNON, Nov. 10 – Junior quarterback Dugan Lloyd completed 11-of-24 passes for a school record 225 yards and one touchdown but it wasn’t enough as Rockville High won their first game of the season with a 42-22 Pequot Uncas decision Friday night. Lloyd also ran for two touchdowns.

Receiver Donovan Macklin caught three passes for a career-high 101 yards. Collin Macklin caught three passes for 45 yards and one touchdown while Gavin Wood caught two receptions for 43 yards. Carter Gavin caught three passes for 36 yards.

Rockville (1-8, 1-7 Pequot Uncas) led 14-7 before Nick Foley caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from QB Ben Ambro with 19 seconds left in the second quarter to take a 14-point lead at halftime. Rockville extended the lead with a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter.

Ambro threw three TD passes and ran for another touchdown to lead the host Rams.

Lloyd broke the previous school record for most yards passing in a single game that was held by Nick Delvecchio, who threw for 212 yards against Housatonic/Wamogo ten years ago in 2007. Macklin is just the seventh player with more than 100 yards receiving since the program was revived in 2007.
