SOMERS, April 23 – Abby Charron had seven goals and four assists while Julianna Iovine had two goals and six assists to lead the Canton High girls lacrosse team to a 19-6 victory over Somers Monday in North Central Connecticut Conference play.
Ashley Huff had three goals while Fiona McNally and Laura DiMartino had two goals each. Courtney LeFave made three saves in net for Canton (5-1, 4-0 NCCC). The Warriors scored five goals in the first six minutes of the contest with two goals each from DiMartino and Huff.

Mackenzie Riley scored her first varsity goal in the final 3:24 of the contest. Charron had 19 draw controls. Canton returns to action on Friday when they host Somers at 4:45 p.m. at the high school.
