SUFFIELD, April 10 – A little snow wasn’t going to stop the Canton High girls lacrosse team on Tuesday morning. And neither was Suffield.
The Warriors (3-0, 2-0 NCCC) scored the first 10 goals of the game to roll to an easy 18-3 win over Suffield in North Central Connecticut Conference play at Ted Beneski field at Suffield High. Canton earned their 12th straight win over an NCCC opponent dating back to the 2016 season.
It snowed throughout most of the game but not much was sticking to the artificial turf field at Suffield High.

Canton’s Abby Charron and Julianna Iovine each had five goals while Ashley Potter, Ashley Huff, Allie DelSanto and Maeve Balavender scored two goals each. Iovine tied her career-high with five goals that she established in the season-opening win over Newington earlier this month.
Huff and Potter had two assists each for Canton. Courtney LeFave had four saves in net to earn the win for the Warriors.

Canton returns to action on Tuesday, April 17 when they host conference rival Granby at 4 p.m. at the turf field at the high school.
