CANTON, May 3 – Jack Rose was 2-for-2 with a double, home run and four RBI to lead the Canton High baseball team to a 14-3 win over Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (HMTCA) in NCCC action Thursday at Bowdoin Field.
Canton (5-4, 4-2 NCCC) had just six hits but took advantage of 13 walks from HMTCA pitchers. Canton stole seven bases led by Jack Mansur with four stolen bases. Mansur, Michael Sullivan, Matt Rose and Cam Gaudet also singled for the Warriors.
Canton returns to action with their fourth game of the week on Friday when they host Coventry (9-2, 7-2 NCCC) at 4 p.m. at Bowdoin Field. The Warriors began the week with a 6-2 loss to Litchfield but have since beaten Somers, 10-4, and HMTCA.
