Moraski scores school-record 10 goals in Canton’s win over Wolcott

WOLCOTT, May 4 – Junior Matt Moraski scored a school record 10 goals as the Canton High boys lacrosse team won their third game of the season with a 16-5 non-league victory over Wolcott on Friday.

Alexander Sullivan had three goals and five assists for the Warriors, now 3-6, while Cooper Jackson, Carter Gavin and Carson Humphrey also scored goals. Brian Connelly had six assists for the Warriors. Goalie Charlie Parchen picked up the victory in net.

Canton led 7-0 after one quarter and shutout the Eagles 5-0 in the third quarter to keep firm command of the contest. The Warriors need to win four of their final seven games to secure a berth in the CIAC Class S tournament.

The Warriors return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Suffield for a night game beginning at 6 p.m.
