CANTON, October 1 – Jackson Miner scored two goals in less than two minutes and the Canton High boys soccer team scored three goals in a 10-minute span to beat Coventry, 4-2 in a North Central Connecticut Conference game Monday on the turf field in Canton.

It was the third win in the last four games for the Warriors, who improved to 4-3 on the year.

Coventry (2-5) took a 1-0 lead with just 7:58 gone in the game on a goal from Colby Dubois.

But Canton tied up the game on the first goal of the season from Peter Fuller off an assist from Miner with a nice crossing pass in front of the goal with 23:44 left in the first half.

Miner, who has a team-leading eight goals on the season, gave the Warriors the lead six minutes later scoring off an assist from Fuller.
