Newtown, Darien share No. 1 spot in first field hockey coaches poll of the year

In the first state field hockey coaches poll of the season, undefeated New Canaan and Newtown are tied for the No. 1 spot in the top 10 poll. Both teams are off to 5-0 starts. Newtown received four first place votes while New Canaan received one. No. 4 Darien (4-0) received three first place votes. Four of the top 10 teams are from the FCIAC.
