
New Canaan moved into the top spot in the state field hockey coaches top 10 poll with six first place votes. The Rams (7-0) and Newtown (7-0) for the top spot in the first top 10 poll of the season.
Darien received two first place votes and moved up two spots to No. 2. Newtown slipped to No. 3. Eight of the ten teams in the top 10 are still undefeated.
Granby is the only Farmington Valley team receiving any recognition, coming in at No. 13 with a record of 4-0-1.
