Undefeated Darien (16-0) received all seven first place votes and remains as the top-ranked field hockey team in the state in voting for the state top 10 high school field hockey poll. The Blue Wave are the only unbeaten and untied team left in the state.
Two new teams joined the top 10 this week – Greenwich, who is tied for No. 10 and Ridgefield, who made their poll debut this season at No. 7.
Canton, which has won 10 straight with nine shutouts, moved up two spots to No. 8, the highest leap up of any team in the poll this week.
