Darien is the unanimous No. 1 in the final top 10 high school field hockey coaches poll of the regular season. The Blue Wave are the only state team that finished the regular season undefeated with no ties or overtime losses. No. 6 Southington (13-0-1-2) didn’t lose a regular season game but tied a game and suffered a pair of overtime losses.
The final top 10 poll of the season will be after the CIAC state championship games on Saturday Nov. 19 in Wethersfield.
