Avon gets 14 hits to overwhelm Canton

AVON, April 21, 2023 – David Pengel was 3-for-5 with a double and Chase Beloin was 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBI to lead the Avon High baseball team to a 14-4 non-league win over Canton at Buckingham Field Friday afternoon.

The Falcons (5-2) rapped out 14 hits to beat the Warriors in their first meeting since 2015.

Jacob Wirth had a double and single for Avon with Andrew Scarlett also ripping a double. The Falcons used six pitchers and gave up just four hits.

Max Sedor had a hit and drove in two runs for the Warriors (4-4).
