CANTON, April 12, 2023 – Pitcher Alice Butterfield allowed just three hits and struck out 12 to lead the Canton High girls softball team to an 11-5 win over Suffield in North Central Connecticut Conference play on Wednesday. She didn’t walk a batter.
Canton (4-2) had eight hits led by Butterfield, who was 2-for-4 with a double and five RBI. Sophia Mazza was 2-for-2 with a double and single with Lyla O’Connor getting a triple and driving in two runs.
The Warriors return to action on Wednesday, April 19, when they travel to Ellington.
