With season-high 19 hits, Canton dominates Thomaston

THOMASTON, May 6, 2023 – Noah Asmar went 4-for-5 with three RBI and a pair of doubles to lead the Canton High baseball team to a 17-2 non-league decision in five innings over Thomaston on Saturday.

With a season-high 19 hits, including six doubles, Canton (7-6) snapped a two-game losing streak.

Sammy Lincoln was 3-for-3 for the Warriors with two RBI and three stolen bases. James Canny was 2-for-2 along with Max Sedor, who was 2-for-2 with two RBI. Canton stole 11 bases in the game.

Three Canton pitchers scattered eight hits and struck out nine. Starting pitcher Michael Archangelo picked up his first victory of the season.

Canton returns to action on Monday when they travel to Colt Park in Hartford to face SMSA at 3:45 p.m.
