
Granby/Canton’s Will Attianese ran for three TDs in Thursday night’s win over Capital Prep./Achievement First.
Will Attianese ran for three touchdowns with Luke Maher scoring a pair of TDs as Granby/Canton won their final regular season game of the season at home with a 51-20 win over Capital Prep/Achievement First in a Pequot Conference game Thursday night in Granby.
“The boys played fast, physical and dominated the line of scrimmage,” Granby/Canton coach Erik Shortell said. “Offense, defense and special teams played fantastic. The Bear Raid offense was firing on all cylinders.”
Quarterback Will Migliaccio completed 15-of-20 passes for 233 yards and a touchdown. Attianese caught seven passes for a career-high 108 yards.
The Bears (7-2) won their fourth straight game and are currently ranked sixth in the CIAC’s Class SS playoff rankings with the top eight teams earning a playoff berth.
Granby/Canton can likely secure a third straight trip to the playoffs with a win over the Coventry/Windham Tech/Bolton/Lyman Memorial co-op squad (1-8) on Friday night, Nov. 18, in Coventry at 6:30 p.m.
