CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 5 – Connecticut College sophomore Mike LeDuc of Canton won the New England Division III championship in the 5,000 meters Friday at MIT. LeDuc won the race with a time of 14:36.76. Connecticut College finished 17th in the event.
A week earlier, Bentley University freshman Ned Furtney of Canton finished fifth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a personal best time of 10:27.64 at the MIT Invitational at Henry Steinbrenner Stadium.
