Girls Petite team 2nd at state meet

WASHINGTON, Conn., May 20 – The girls petite team from the Avon High crew team finished second at the Connecticut Public Schools Rowing Association state championship regatta at Lake Waramaug.

The Avon girls four team finished fourth while the boys novice 8 finished sixth. In the Emerson Cup (competition among 8-person crews), Avon was 11th in the field of 11 teams. In the Perry Cup (competition among four-person crews), the Falcons finished fifth out of six.
