Mills shuts down Enfield for 2nd win of the season

football graphicENFIELD, Oct. 16 – Colin Kennedy ran for a team-high 165 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries to lead the Lewis Mills football team to its second win of the season in a 20-12 Pequot Conference win over winless Enfield (0-6).

Michael Ciccarelli ran for 90 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries for the Spartans (2-3) along with making a team-high nine tackles on defense. The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for Mills.

Mills QB Trevor Baker completed 7-of-16 passes for one interception and 57 yards. The Spartans host Old Saybrook/Westbrook (4-1) in a Pequot interdivisional contest on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Burlington.
