Four hits isn’t enough for Canton softball team

Softball graphicCANTON, May 5 – Canton’s Emma Plourd had two hits including a two-RBI double and teammate Sophia Pelehach had a single and double but it wasn’t enough as the Somers High softball team beat the Warriors, 14-3 on Thursday.

Canton (0-12, 0-11 NCCC) managed just four hits. Jaela Davidson did score on an error in the seventh for the Warriors. Pitcher Erika Nedderman started the game on the mound for Canton and took the loss. She pitched four innings, allowed six hits, eight runs and struck out two. She walked four.
