TORRINGTON, June 23 – The Avon American Legion baseball got off to a quick start and never looked back in a 13-7 win over Torrington in a Zone 1 contest at Fuessenich Park.
A day after Avon had 12 hits and seven stolen bases in a seven-run victory over Torrington, Post 201 got 14 hits on Thursday night along with another five stolen bases. Avon led 7-2 after just two innings.
