CANTON — Patrick Collier, who grew up in Canton and graduated from Canton High in 2003, has re-enlisted in the U.S. Navy after nearly five years of service to his country.
Collier chose a unique location to swear his oath of enlistment – on a South Carolina lake riding a wakeboard.
Collier is a Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class and a radiologic technician for the Naval Health Clinic Charleston, located at Joint Base in Charleston, South Carolina. Collier swore his oath of enlistment on a wakeboard at Trophy Lakes in Johns Island, South Carolina. Navy Lt. Lauren Brown, a physical therapist at Naval Health Clinic Charleston, served as the re-enlistment officer on the boat.

Collier is the son of Marian and Norman Collier of Canton.
