Avon’s first Winter Spirit Week begins Tuesday

The first Avon High Winter Spirit Week begins on Tuesday with home games for each winter sport.

AVON – The Avon High Booster Club is hosting its first annual Winter Spirit Week beginning Tuesday night. The booster club is hosting the event in partnership with the Avon High athletic department and the Falconatics, the student-run spirit organization.

There will be five home games this week for Avon High teams. Avon High students can get in free with their student ID. There will be prizes and entertainment at each game.

• Tuesday, Jan. 3: BOYS BASKETBALL – Weaver at Avon, 6:45 p.m.
• Wednesday, Jan. 4: WRESTLING – Glastonbury at Avon, 6 p.m.
• Thursday, Jan. 5: GIRLS BASKETBALL – Simsbury at Avon, 6:45 p.m.
• Friday, Jan. 6: SWIMMING – Farmington vs. Avon at Central Connecticut State, 7 p.m.
• Saturday, Jan. 7: HOCKEY – Newington co-op vs. Farmington Valley co-op at AOF, 8 p.m.
