Staples is ranked No. 1 in state field hockey poll, Granby (3-0) is ranked No. 6

Staples is the No. 1 team in the state in the first state field hockey top 10 season of the fall. Staples is one of four FCIAC teams in the top 10. Wilton is No. 4 with Darien coming in at No. 9 and Ridgefield at No. 10. Granby (3-0) is ranked No. 6 as three teams – Staples, Cheshire and Wilton earned No. 1 votes. … Canton travels to face No. 6 Granby on Tuesday for a game that begins at 5:30 p.m.
