WINDSOR LOCKS, April 10 – Austin Tomalonis was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI at the plate and struck out three and scattered seven hits on the mound to lead the Windsor Locks High baseball team to a 9-6 win over Canton on Wednesday in North Central Connecticut Conference action.
Tomalonis helped the Raiders race out to a 6-1 lead after two innings against Canton starting pitcher Michael Sullivan (0-2), who scattered five hits and struck out six.
Sullivan was 3-for-4 with a triple for Canton (1-2, 1-2 NCCC) while James Mattson was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Jack Rose had a two-run double for the Warriors.
Canton returns to action on Monday when they host Suffield at 4 p.m. at Bowdoin Field.
