HARTFORD, March 28, 2026 – The Hartford Athletic got some help on Saturday to remain undefeated when Indy Eleven defender Josh O’Brien deflected a ball into his own goal in the 89th minute to help Hartford get a 1-1 tie with Indy Eleven in USL Championship action at Trinity Health Stadium.

It was the first game for Hartford (3-0-2, 2-0-2 USL Championship) at home this season.

Leading by a goal, O’Brien deflected the ball into his own net off a corner kick from Hartford.

Indy Eleven (1-1-1) took a 2-1 lead in the 72nd minute with Bruno Rendon scoring off a cross from Mikah Thomas. The visitors tied the game just three minutes into the second half as Noble Okello tapped in a backdoor pass from teammate Cam Lindley.

Carrying much of play by the midway point of the first half, Hartford took a 1-0 lead as Arturo Diz Pe sent a pass up field to Sadat Anaku who turned and fired the rock short side to beat Eric Dick in the 33rd minute, putting Hartford ahead, 1-0.

Hartford returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Centreville Bank Stadium to battle USL Championship rival Rhode Island FC in a U.S. Open Cup match at 7 p.m.
