
Ian McDonald had 11 points as Avon allowed just 45 points Tuesday night. But it wasn’t enough as Glastonbury prevailed, 45-41.
AVON, Jan. 19 – Jordan Williams had 15 points while Ian McDonald added 11 but it wasn’t enough as Glastonbury used a brief third quarter surge to hand the Avon High boys basketball team their ninth straight loss with a 45-41 decision in Central Connecticut Conference action Tuesday night.
The visiting Tomahawks led by one at halftime but used a short third quarter burst to pull ahead. Ian Halpin led Glastonbury (6-4) with 16 points. It was the fewest points that Avon has allowed in a single game all year.
The Falcons (1-9, 0-4 CCC Central White) host Farmington (4-6, 1-3 CCC Central White) on Friday night at 7 p.m. in their next outing.
