Hoffman helps Warriors top Windsor Locks for 12th victory of season

WINDSOR LOCKS, Feb. 9 – Rieley Hoffman scored a career-high 17 points and Cameron Lange added 13 to lead the Canton High boys basketball team to a 61-48 NCCC victory over Windsor Locks on Tuesday night.

The victory gives Canton its 12th win of the season. Ethan Burke added 11 points for the Warriors, now 12-3 and 8-3 in the NCCC. Tied at 25 at halftime, Canton pulled away in the second half to earn the victory.

Hoffman’s previous career high was 15 points in a win over East Granby last February.

The Warriors are now in the midst of a stretch of four games in eight days. Canton plays at Somers on Thursday followed by a home game against Coventry on Friday night. On Tuesday, Feb. 16, the Warriors travel to SMSA in Hartford and finish the week on Feb. 19 with a game at home against Ellington.
