The Yard Goats scored two runs on a wild pitch in the 10th inning and defeated the Somerset Patriots 8-6 on Thursday evening at TD Bank Ballpark. Harrison Cohen’s wild pitch scored Jose Torres and Mike Antico breaking a 6-6 tie and giving the Yard Goats an 8-6 lead and eventual win while stopping a four-game losing streak. Zach Kokoska homered and had three RBI and Fidel Ulloa pitched 2.2 scoreless for the win.

Roc Riggio and Jack O’Dowd hit home runs for the second straight game but the Yard Goats fell to the Somerset Patriots 5-3 at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater, New Jersey. DJ Gladney broke a 3-3 tie with a go-ahead two-run homer for the Yankees affiliate in the seventh inning. Six Somerset pitchers combined to strike out 19 Yard Goats while sending them to a fourth straight loss. O’Dowd, who joined the Yard Goats yesterday, homered in his first two games. Riggio is 6 for 8 with two home runs and a double in his first two games against his former team. New York Yankees outfielder Trent Grisham went 1-3 with a double, a walk, and scored a run in his MLB rehab assignment for the Patriots.

Somerset homered their way to a 5-2 victory against the Yard Goats at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The Yankees affiliate smashed three homers, including two from first baseman Josh Moylan, to take the first meeting of the season between the two division rivals. Jack O’Dowd, who was promoted to Hartford today, became just the second ever Yard Goats player to hit a home run in his first at-bat joining Rockies third baseman Kyle Karros who did it April 4, 2025 against Somerset. Dowd is the son of former Rockies General Manager Dan O’Dowd who led the Rockies to the World Series in 2007. Yard Goats second baseman Roc Riggio had three hits, including a home run against his former team.

PRO GOLF Travelers Championship At Cromwell (TPC-River Hlghlands)
Viktor Hovland secures his eighth PGA Tour on Monday at the Travelers Championship after beating Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 ranked player in the world, in a sudden death playoff on the 18th hole. The two finished tied after 72 holes but rain late on Sunday pushed the playoff to Monday morning in Cromwell. This is Scheffler’s fourth runner-up finish in 2026.
