Mayes scored his first goal of the game 13 minutes into the second half off a Ponte assist to make the game 3-0. After Central got a goal back to make the score 3-1, Mayes found the back of the net again with 4 minutes remaining to close the match, off an assist from freshman Graham Stegbaur. Mills is on the road Monday for a 6 p.m.kickoff against Simsbury.

Minnesota’s Olivia Miles was the unanimous selection as the WNBA’s rookie of the year. Minnesota drafted Miles second overall in April. She started all 40 of her appearances and averaged 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists. She faced the Connecticut Sun on Sept. 20 in Uncasville.
